About Me!

As of writing this today (July 19, 2011) I am 28 years old. I live in a house. And I own practically next to nothing. I am just not much of a fan of material possessions.

I typically work out every day. I tend to eat as healthy as I can. With the exclusion of a few energy drinks every now and then, I haven't really had any carbonated beverages in well over a year. And even then, I typically only drink NOS and only if I'm pretty desperate. I don't really play any sports, but I do enjoy playing tennis and racketball. Sadly though, you can't play tennis by yourself too well so I haven't played in several years. I tend to go to the park a lot and run around or kick a soccerball around. Even though I like to spend time outside, I typically actually spend more time inside. I do spend enough time outside to not be ghostlike in apperance though.

I don't go to the movies very often but when I do I typically watch comedies or some sort of epic film. I don't know that I really have a favorite film of sorts. Possibly the Wizard. It's a pretty cheesy movie but I watched it a lot as a kid.

I do tend to read a lot of books. I am however a pretty slow reader. I like to really take in all the words rather than skim over things and try to read quickly. Even though I don't play the Warcraft games really anymore, I still enjoy reading the books. The lore for those games was pretty epic. My favorite book though would be Illistrated Man by Ray Bradbury. I really love short stories. Especially ones with a lot of twists.

For music I typically listen to a lot of Electonica or some sort of 80's band. I really really love dance music. I used to listen to a lot of video game soundtracks but eventually got out of doing that and moved more into just random electronica. I do also listen to a few other things like Coldplay, Lights, and the Killers.

I used to play a ton of video games. Not so much any more. I still dabble around in a few things here and there but for the most part it's pretty rare. I typically love RPGs. My favorite series would probably be either the Kingdom Hearts series or the Tales of games.

As far as TV goes, I don't own one. :) I generally just rent things via Netflix and watch them on my computer. Mostly a lot of anime. I am a huge closet anime fan. Most people that know me would probably tell you that I have no idea what anime even is. Suprisingly though, I've seen a ton and familiar with a ton more. Some of my favorite shows are Saber Marionette J, One Piece, and Code Geass. I am also a huge cosplay lover. I've only been to a couple of smaller conventions and only cosplayed twice, but I'd really like to get more into it. I also have a bit of a cosplay fetish. Cosplay girls are awesome. >__>

I also own a cat. Her name is Claire Catfield. She was named after a combination of Claire Redfield of Resident Evil fame, and the main character from the anime Claymore. I first got Claire after watching Claymore. During the show I mentioned to a friend of mine how I really liked the name Claire and if I ever got a cat, I was going to name her Claire. 2 weeks later I went to a shelter and after picking her up and having her kiss me all over the face, I took her home and named her Claire.

Claire was only 3 or 4 months old when I got her. So she was old enough to already be pretty well potty trained and such things as that. So luckily I didn't have to deal with any of that. Which was really awesome.

For some reason Claire is very very quiet. She generally only meows if she is in serious trouble. For some reason she feels the need to climb into anything. She especially loves to climb and crawl into boxes. Small boxes, large boxes, it doesn't matter. She actually has one box that I call her "comfort box" that she hides in and won't get out of unless I pull her out of it.

Claire is also extremely prissy and spoiled. She walks around as if she was queen of the world. I've seen and been around a lot of cats that are similiar to that, but Claire has got to be the most prissy princess cat I've ever seen. Which I both love and hate. She won't let me hold her unless she wants to be held. And if I don't hold her when she wants to be held then she throws a fit and starts knocking everything over and getting into things she knows she shouldn't be in. She typically does this if ever she isn't getting her way no matter what it is. Most of the time I don't mind playing with her and whatnot, but I do wish she would want to play when I wanted to play with her too.

Here's some random pictures I have of Claire in case anyone is a fan of cat pictures. Clicky!
